Thus, for the social uplift of society, Siddiq Shafi Group contributes generously to improve the standard of literacy, to provide basic health basic facilities to community around it observe cleaner environment and to reach for helping against any natural catastrophes.

Community Education

Siddiq Shafi Group very actively participates in education of the poor to address the basic issue of literacy in Pakistan. The Group has taken this task upon it as a mission and has set up Colleges and Schools to provide education totally free or at an affordable cost to the under privileged class

Hilal Public Schools System of Green Crescent Trust

Besides running of Muhammad Shafi Educational Complex Karachi, Siddiq Shafi Trust is sponsoring following educational projects for running of selected schools:
(i) Iqra Project of Jamai Shahi-islam
(ii) Hilal Public Schools System of Green Crescent Trust. The schools under the project provide education (religious as well as modern) and books free to about 10.000 students either young
or adults to help remove illiteracy.

Siddiq Shafi Girls Govt. Degree College

Siddiq Shafi Girls Govt. Degree College at Chiniot
The Group has established in the home town of its directors, a campus for Degree awarding College in Chiniot (Punjab). This is a purpose-built campus established for the education of poor community College was handed over to the Government of Punjab for proper administration.

Zakia Begum Iqra Primary School

Directors of SLW have established this in a purpose built campus totally financed and freely run by them at Gulberg Town,

Scholarships Support for LUMS Graduate

On the platform of Muhammad Shafi Trust, the Group also announces scholarships to talented and deserving students of different colleges and universities in Punjab and Sindh province. At Lahore University of Management Sciences LUMS, Siddiq Shafi Group sponsors the full course expenses for a young talented and deserving graduate every year for MBA Programme

Pakistan Institute of Human Development (PIHD)

With the initiative and support of Late Sheikh Muhammad Naeem Director SLW, Mr. Muhammad Aslam Tarin and some educationists embarked on setting up PIHD. With its head-office at Lahore, PIHD is also working at Karachi, Peshawar and Islamabad PlHD comprises of sincere members from various industries with significant experience in trainings to corporate sectors.

Namal College at Namal Mianwali

World famous cricketer Imran Khan established this state-of-the-art facility in his native region to cater the educational need of under-privileged people. This college also received the generous patronage by the Group Directors.

Community Health & Welfare

Enabling the community to access the quality health care services, the Group is maintaining following initiatives,
• Chiniot Hospital
• Medical Dispensaries at factories
• Dispensary at School near Sheikhupura
• Dispensary at Bhatta Chowk
In addition, the Group directors are among the donors for various Government and non-Government health facilities all over Pakistan. The Group is a regular donor of Shaukat Khanum Cancer Research Hospital. This health facility has proved its worth for poor cancer patients who cannot afford expensive cancer treatment. Here a ward has been established with the funding of Siddiq Shafi Group.

Moreover, the Group companies regularly sponsor medical missions organized and arranged by Al-Khidmat Foundation During natural disasters of earthquake in October 2005 and devastating flood in August 2010. Siddiq Shafi initiated the mission for helping the affected people. The Group generously contributes towards such victims with financial and moral help. For the victims of Earthquake disaster of 8th October 2005 which took away hundreds of thousands lives in minutes. SLW assumed it as a social and moral obligations, collected funds and donations in millions, established relief camp in earthquake affected areas and provided medicines and relief good to the people in distress – for their rehabilitation. Similarly, Siddiq Shafi Group remained up front in making all-out efforts to reach to the affected areas for relief and rehabilitation measures. The Group sponsored hundreds of families and thousands of individuals for construction and/or repair of houses, purchase of tractors and seed so as to enable them to restart their lives again and could regain strength for self-sustainability.
